ID Released For Man Struck, Killed By Metro-North Train Near Darien

Metro-North officials have released the identity of a 50-year-old man who was hit and killed by a train last week.

A New Canaan resident was hit and killed by a train at the Noroton Heights Train Station.

John Hickey, 50, of New Canaan, was struck and killed Thursday night near Darien, said Metro-North officials.

The incident took place around 7:35 p.m. Dec. 13 at Noroton Heights. The train had departed Grand Central at 6:49 p.m. headed for New Haven.

Hickey was pronounced dead at the scene. 

MTA Police are investigating.
